Samiya Imad Farooqui clinched the U-15 girls singles title in 2017, while Tasnim Mir had emerged victorious in the same category in 2019.
Other Indian player to achieve a podium finish in the tournament was Gnana Dattu in the U-17 boys singles category. He lost in 3 sets to Indonesia’s Radithya Bayu Wardhana in the semifinals and settled for a bronze medal.
