India’s 17-year-old tennis sensation Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi enjoyed a memorable week at the ITF W35 Lagos in Nigeria, winning both the singles and doubles titles to complete a remarkable double triumph.
Maaya defeated Spain’s Celia Cervino Ruiz 6-4, 6-2 in the women’s singles final to claim her maiden senior singles title on the ITF Circuit.
Earlier, Maaya partnered Ukraine’s Yelyzaveta Kotliar to clinch the doubles title. The Indo-Ukrainian pair staged a remarkable comeback from a set down to defeat China’s Liu and Italy’s Moccia 0-6, 6-2, 10-7 in the final.
At just 17, Maaya’s double title triumph marks a significant milestone in her career and highlights her growing potential on the international tennis circuit.
